Clearly this blog is not in sequential order.
I'm going to turn the sands of time back a wee tad...to Chris and I's anniver-si-ary.
We celebrated our anniversary a couple of weeks before little J was born. (I wanted to be like those cool bloggers who don't put their child's full name.) It was our Baby-moon, if you will. And what a splendid little baby-moon it was. We scooted our booties on up to Park City and stayed in this marvelous hotel that is part of the lifts/lodge for Park City Ski area.
Our room was fancy-schmancy. And more importantly, it was clean. There are few things I despise more than a dirty hotel room. Since these rooms were individually owned, it was sort of a gamble as to what we were going to get. But it was well furnished and included a family room and kitchen. There was also a...wait for it...murphy bed (silent scream!) The murphy bed was actually quite nice and we didn't get snapped shut in it like I feared we would. And other than a reference in the room's guest book about a murdering father, it was quite a nice room.
We spent our time waddling around Park City, taking a ride on the ski lift, going out to eat, carving pumpkins and swimming in the pool. The ski lift was perhaps my favorite part. It was great to just sit together and look at the scenery. Sometimes on those things I fear I will fall to my death, or I wonder what would happen if you were on one of those lifts when an earthquake struck (I don't know why but the phrase that comes to mind is...swinging dingle-berry). None of that happened however, and we had a lovely time. One random stranger passing the other direction even snapped our picture. Oh, and while we waited in line we witnessed quite the scene. A large lady on the zip line, skidded to halt about 10 feet before the platform. Her swinging legs didn't help and neither did the ropes they tried to throw. It took about 10 minutes before they finally figured out a way to pull her safely home. It was a little sad, but mostly hilarious.
Don't I look adorable in this child's hat?
This is Chris's, "I can't believe this little scoop of gelato cost me $4.25," expression.
At the top of the ski lift.
Ditto.
Chris came up with a creative way to get his pattern to stick to his pumpkin.
Melani, Chris and Jack's pumpkin.
Chris made me breakfast-in-murphy-bed. We had orange juice, eggs, bacon, and Great Harvest cinnamon french toast. I look very enthused, I know.
Complete with a one year anniversary candle.
It was a delightful trip and a great way to spend our last little alone time together. I just love my Chris so much and have loved the time I've been married to him. It has been the best year of my life. And I bet each year will just get better and better.

One Month
Jack turned one month old on December 2nd. Here are some of the Top Three's about the little guy.
Top 3 things people say when they see him:
1. "Look at all of that blonde hair."
2. "He's so big." I love when they add, "You are so tiny, how did you have such a big baby?" I think people are just referring to my height, but hey, I'll take it.
3. "His hands and feet are huge."
Top 3 cutest things he does:
1. He makes these high pitched squeals when he is in distress. A lot of the time Chris and I just start laughing when we hear these. He's so cute we forget to be worried that he is crying. Like yesterday when he was getting circumcised, (this happened a little late in his life, I know) he did the cutest little squeal and both Chris and I started laughing. The doctor informed us that his crying wasn't funny. It's was just the little squeals he makes in between cries that are cute.
2. I love it when he scrunches up his forehead and looks around. It reminds me of a little pug.
3. He smiles and laughs in his sleep. That has to be the cutest thing he's done so far in his short little life.
Top 3 least cute things he does:
1. Poops on his parents.
2. Cries when his pacifier falls out. They need to invent a better way for those things to stay in.
3. He has started to pull on my hair.
Top 3 Dislikes:
1. Getting his diaper changed.
2. Getting circumcised. (that should be a given)
3. Three way tie between, pacifier falling out, being hungry and getting put in his car seat.
Top 3 Likes:
1. Driving in the car.
2. Being in the shower. (We have family showers. It's more normal than it sounds.)
3. Getting his back patted.
Top 3 things people give me weird looks or comments for:
1. Not breastfeeding.
2. Bottle feeding
3. Formula.
Top 3 ailments we've had to contend with:
1. Baby Acne
2. Gas/Constipation.
3. Dry skin.
Overall he is such a good baby. He sleeps really well at night. He usually only wakes up once in an 8 hour period, so in between feedings I get enough sleep. We just love him so much. We love watching him grow. He is just the cutest thing to us. We love him so much.
And here are some pictures:

| We copied Mandi and are using Albert as a guide to show how big Jack has gotten. |
| Her he looks like Winston Churchill. This is his authoritative dictator look. |

6 Odd Ways To Find a Jack
1. Stuffed in a snowsuit that makes his arms and legs stick straight out.
2. Arranged lovingly with the rest of the stuffed animals and pillows on the bed.
3. Shoved in these giant St. Bernards slippers. (More on these awesome fuzzy guys later.)
4. On the roof of Chris and Dallan's fort. (More on that later too.)
5. Camaglouged in a sea of blue.
6. With a diaper on his head. Chris was afraid his head was getting cold.

Hospital Pics
Here I am after we found out that we were going to be staying and having a baby.
One of the very first pictures of the little. (I spared you the nasty caked-in-the-grossness-that-is-birth photos. You're Welcome.)
My reaction to holding him for the first time. I know I look cray-cray-banana's, but I did just shove an eight and a half pounder out my unders.

Our first family photo. Chris looks like a 14-year-old and I look befitting of the name Ulga.
When they swaddled him, his legs were scrunched up to his body like a frog, so he ended up looking like a cute little midget. Or bowling ball with a head, as Mandi would say.
Mommy and son.
I detested the little hat they made him wear. I though he looked like a little dwarf headed off for a day of work in the mines. So when it was "mommy time", I always snuck that bad boy off. Here I was trying to show how ridiculous they make a person look. Clearly I rock this better than a baby could.
Jack getting all ready to leave the hospital.
Chris loaded down with all of our things. Flowers, purse, stuff we brought and the things we managed to swipe from the hospital room. (We didn't take anything we weren't allowed to take...I think.) And this is Chris's "yes, yes, yes" pose because we finally got to take the Brevis home.
