5 Things People Don't Know About Me
1. Ten Years Ago: I was ten. I was living in Farmington about to enter my awkward years. I was in 6th grade. One of my favorite grades. This was a grand old time for me.
2. If I Were Suddenly a Billionaire: I would definately say a prayer of thanks. Buy a car and a house. Pay off my loved ones debts. Pay for the rest of college. Buy an old house in England and restore it. (great idea Lindsey!). Buy lots of fabric and make many many fancy period dresses. Oh and get DisneyWorld season passes for all of my fam and take them all on a cruise.
3. I have seriously considered hair school. But I'm kind-of afraid of the dumb-beautician image. And I could never scrape together 15,000 dollars for it.
4. I've banned myself from watching CSI, Law and Order and those kinds of shows. I am intriged by these shows and love watching them, bit it usually just worries me and creeps me out. So...no more.
5. One of my biggest pet peeves is when I'm washing dishes by hand and someone throws a dirty dish in the sink. It's the worst when you've just changed the water and its a really dirty spatula or something. This always happens to me at work and I usually just grab the offending dish as fast as I can and throw it in the other sink. It's my way of keeping my sanity and sending a message to the person who threw the dish in.

Ballerina...2007

I drew this pic a few months ago. I just love to dance so this pic really inspired me. In the real picture this girl is leaping way high in the air...AMAZING! So this is one of my better attempts at drawing the human body. And I really like the way the face turned out. PS That is not hair coming from this girls armpit. It is a bit of eraser that got left behind.

Fancy lookin' fellow...2008

Again this pic I based off a pic from a magazine. It was originally the guy who plays Jess from Gilmore Girls...I think his name is like Milo Shakiwakisaladforkis, or something like that. I'm just trying to get better at bodies so I decided to work on this number. I like his shirt and the suave way in which his tie is loosened. Too bad the hands look like he's suffering from a terrible joint disease. Oh Well...live and learn.

Todd Talbot...2008

I gave this young man the name of my husband, from when I played house when I was little. Because he needed a name. Yes I know I was related to the Talbot's...but I was young. I drew this roughly from an add in a magazine. I think it was for cologne or something. I drew it in my sketchbook so you can see the binding. I just love this picture. I really took a lot of time on the hair and stubble (people in my school library were probably wondering why I kept pounding my paper with a pencil...) and I love the squinty thoughful eyes. And let's face it, I just think this young man is rather ideal looking. Any-hoo one of my favorites to date.

His Angel...2008

This picture requires explanation. So I was waiting for class to start and I started to draw my hand, I like guys hands better so I manned it up and turned it into a male hand (male, mel...confusing) Anyway, once I drew the hand I decided to have the hand touching a face and it just turned iton a girl asleep that he was touching. I thought it was really sweet like he just wanted to touch her even when she was asleep. Mandi says its too sensual, but that's not how I meant it...and I added the wedding ring because a) wedding rings just make mens hands attractive and b) so this picture would most certaintly be moral. Oh and I left some of my sketchbook showing just cause I though it looked cool. I just really like this picture. I know what I was trying to draw and I really like it.

Pucker Up Dream Ears...2008

I did this drawing because I was just thinking about different facial expressions I could play with. I really like the way it turned out. Especially since I didn't have any references to look from. And truth be known I drew her ears like this because I have always wanted my ears like this. My ears are super flat to my head. I would just love it if they stuck out just a tad bit more. And plus maybe if they were bigger my ipod headphones would actually stay in.

Jaylyn Leno...2007

I just did this fun ditty of a girl with and without make up. So it's kind of cartoony looking and she has quite the Jay Leno chin but oh well it was way fun. Plus it helped me practice porportions and hair.
